The Route was planned to be the standard TMB with some additional excursions to summits, and based on the very successful 1988 route. However very poor weather for most of the first week severely curtailed our plans and we had only one mountain campsite and climbed just one minor peak, Mont Vorassay (2299 m), in the last four days of improved weather. The route divided into four sections between supply points: Chamonix  >  la Fouly >  Tronchey >  les Contamines >  Chamonix.
